Minecraft: Why is one now talking about 1.16, although Bedrock has 1.14.60.5?

1.16 is the latest Java version. Will probably come to bedrock at some point

The 1.16 is the latest update in Java, in the Bedrock it will be called 1.15, but it is the same version. The Bedrock is just one place behind.

Because we always talk about the latest version, the Java Edition. The Bedrock Edition has the same versions, but different version numbers.
