I would like to copy a Minecraft world from my friend, but I don't know how to do it (or whether it works). Can someone help me?

FYI: It is classified as a "good friend". I play PE on an Android.

On which platform? PC Java, PC Bedrock, Consoles Bedrock, PE?

On the PC, you can have your girlfriend send you the world files, provided that she gives you them

Should work, all you have to do is copy the world folder from your friends.

PE but on the phone…

I assume that the questioner is talking about the Bedrock Edition. It doesn't work that way.

For your information: It is classified as a "good friend".

[JAVA]

You have to copy the world from your saves folder to your saves folder.

You can find the saves folder like this:

You have to enter "% AppData%" in the Windows search (without quotation marks), then go to Local, then in .minecraft and then to the saves folder. Then insert the world in the same place with you.

No. It's about the Bedrock Edition (PE), it doesn't work that way.

But is not in the question. You could have written in it.

I know that PE is on the phone. That would have been helpful in the question.

Do you use Android or iOS?

According to https://www.reddit.com/...ds/ctqkvrg (but already 5 years old) the path for the world is under Android /games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds

For iOS it is probably games> com.mojang> MinecraftWorlds according to https://www.quora.com/Is-it-possible-to-transfer-a-Minecraft-PE-world-from-one-device-to-another/answer/Kayvon-7

If you play on the PC then you have to hold down the Windows key and "r". Then a small window appears where you enter "% appdata%" (without the quotation marks btw). Then you hit enter. Then there should be a folder called .minecraft and you open it. There should be a folder called saves and the world is in there. You can then copy it to a stick and simply paste it back into the same folder on your PC. Then you open MC and there should be the world.

@ MrAmazing2 Yes, that's right. Anyway, thanks for the answer!

yes well, I only use the Java version on the PC, I have no idea about the special settings etc. Of the other versions, especially of the PE… I'd rather ask for ^^
