I'm a real fan of GTA 5, I played it with a buddy in first grade and loved it straight away! Along with Minecraft, it was my absolute favorite game throughout my primary school years. However, I was never allowed to play it. In fifth grade I had a buddy who I was with every day, guess what we were playing all the time. GTA 5 of course what else lol.
In 6th grade I got my own PC and I discovered the power of PaySafe cards. Without hesitation, of course, I immediately bought the game using a PaySafe card and started playing.
Here comes the stupid part:
I actually play the game every day with my friends (I'm 8th grade now) and we have a lot of fun. My father also knows that I play it and that doesn't bother him, he doesn't tell my mother either. But my problem is that I'm always totally relaxed because my mom could catch me playing it. I can understand that she doesn't like the game because of the blood and the guns and all.
But she doesn't see the game the way I see it: For me, GTA 5 is a game in which I can do the funniest and craziest things with my friends, e.g. Fight with a submarine or skydiving, do motocross stunts on mount chiliad and so on. My mother just focuses on the fact that in the game you kill people and you splash blood.
How can I get her to allow me And if she allows it, how should I teach her that I have been actively playing the game for 2 years?
Edit question
I play the story mode in which it is actually mainly about killing not at all. I play car racing and submarine fighting or other "more harmless" things with friends
Since I play it myself and know that it is harmless, I would probably allow you as a mother to play. Because I don't care about the USK, I prefer to classify the games myself. And in my opinion GTA has the USK 18 completely wrong. USK 16 would be more appropriate, if not almost USK 12 (especially in online mode!), Although it would be a little too "brutal" for that.
But even if I would allow you as a mother, I would of course look at how you react to the game. And if I don't like your development, then I would just forbid you again and it's good.
But I think that your mother has very little interest in playing this game and classifying it herself, she will want to stick to the USK and you can do very little about that and I also think that she would not allow you to do so easily.
Mama do you want to lock me up until i'm of legal age. I can also play with friends. What's the point of your ban when so many possibilities are open? Maybe you should just take a look at what I like about the game, it's not just shooting around. Apart from that, you can see brutality in comic films. Tom and Jerry for very little ones, supposed to be weird but put Tom in burns and everything. XD
Game of Thrones is also played by real people…
GTA is nothing more than a bunch of pixels that represent something. I find so many political advertising posters or TV commercials more questionable than a game.
I've been playing GTA for a long time and I haven't become an ammo runner. I started with GTA IV shortly before first class (I think PS3) and mostly just drove around by car, then I discovered this tower or crane at the harbor and kept jumping down there. I enjoyed it. Then came c.a. Out in 3 class GTA V and then I continued to play. Back then I always watched these Mount Chillidad Mystories on YouTube or how the Addon Cars jumped down on the ramp on top.
It was a good time, and yet in real life I don't plan on knocking down people or stealing cars. Well, I'm Pole and my career is yet to come, so I'll wait and see that opinion.
In any case, USK 18 does not mean that the game is 18+, but that it is only a recommendation.
What should your mother do?
Are you house arrested until you're 18?
If your father allows it, bring him on board. He's not entirely innocent of the situation either. Should he deal with your ma.
