What is Better Minecraft Chain Armor or Minecraft Gold Armor?

The armor is both equally good, but the gold armor is much easier to get.
But I would generally recommend you to craft iron armor and then I would switch directly to diamond armor

I would recommend chain armor, but since you can find a lot of gold, especially in the Nether, it is better to use gold. But if I were you, I would start with iron armor.
Wood is absolutely good without wood you won't get any further in the game
