For a year I have a problem with Minecraft. And if I go on multiplayer stands with EVERY server: Can't connect to server. If I want to join, it says: java.netConnectException: Connection refused: no further information. I've searched for solutions all over the internet, but found nothing. I have Windows 8.
I've already tried that:
Minecraft allocate more RAM
Turn off the firewall
Something with the internet connection
Delete Minecraft folder and re-create it (Launcher)
Repair Minecraft
Delete Minecraft & reinstall
Turn Wi-Fi off and on
Java downloaded (so it is up to date)
This is how it looks at the moment (settings etc.)
Java is up to date
I have good internet, because everything works except Minecraft.
Minecraft now has more RAM than before
I have NO mods etc.
I have entered the correct IP of the server
Again logged in
I have been waiting
I'm desperate and do not know what to do to make it work! I ask for help.
Could you have a look in the hosts file of Windows?
"C: \ Windows \ System32 \ drivers \ etc \"
You have to open the file with admin rights eg: via Notepad ++ or Windows eigendem Notepad.
If there's something with "Minecraft", delete it and try again.
