Video Games] Minecraft 1.8 - NPC Farm?

I built an NPC farm. But somehow it doesn't seem to work. On the lower floor there's a single villager, in a circle that has 8 doors:

Above is a field with carrots in which there are two farmers and a butcher:

Does anyone know why this NPC farm is not working?

You are not allowed to cover the part that is considered "outside" in front of the door, but that happens with the farm on the roof. You also have to leave more space in this area (at least 5 blocks). And you have to make them willing with bread.

If you have the information from this article, it will unfortunately not help me, because, as I said, I'm talking about Minecraft version 1.8 and not the latest version

Read: It says "before village & pillage", so it's not about the latest version but about the Villager mechanics from version 1.8. Today you need beds and not doors.

In the worst case, you go down to "history" and have a concrete look at how the whole thing has developed and what it looks like for 1.8.
