TexturePack not showing up in Minecraft?

I have a problem with creating my own texture pack: I have my zip file in the resourcepacks folder, but Minecraft does not display this texture pack. I thank everyone for a helpful answer.

Can you see a folder with the same name as the ZIP file? If so, pack the assets folder, pack.png and pack.mcmeta directly there (in the ZIP file) instead. Or the json formatting in pack.mcmeta is incorrect.

I only have one TexturePack in the resourcepack folder. And I have the json formatting in the pack.mcmeta file

What's in the zip file when you open it?

An assets file folder and a pack.mcmeta, which has already been edited with the "Atom" program.
