Coloring in Minecraft?

Hi folks out there I'm asking because I don't understand how to dye leather armor on Minecraft PE! Does anyone of you know how to do that?

Thats is quite easy!

Step 1: fill a kettle with water

Step 2: Click on the water in the kettle with a dye so that it changes color.

Step 3: Click on the colored water with the leather armor.

Thank you for showing me that. I used to try it on the crafting table (workbench), it always worked, but somehow it didn't work.
