Before I wanted to shut down my PC but didn't close the apps because I heard that they were closed automatically I pressed shutdown and I see the PC does not turn off I turn on the monitor and see that I have no picture so I had to turn it off with the power button I asked myself if that was harmful I started the PC afterwards and saw that everything was ok and I still have 1200 fps in Minecraft but I wanted to ask anyway, it's safe.
No
This is not a problem at all with Windows, nothing happens. With Linux-based systems it is more likely that something will go wrong because Linux doesn't like that. But everything is fine here. It does happen that you have to use the power button.
Is usually not a problem.
The worst realistically conceivable scenario is that if you turn off the PC while a Windows update is being installed and the Windows installation is destroyed in the process.
If you've only done this once, it's not that bad. Nothing happens at first, as long as you don't always turn off the PC and destroy a Windows update in the process
Thank you so much! 33 now I don't have a headache xd
"Nothing happens at first as long as you don't always turn off the PC like this"
This is basically nonsense.
And even that would be relatively easy to fix.
With pleasure.
Windows updates in the background almost every time you use it. If you switch off with the power supply switch (I'm not sure whether the FS also means this or really the power button on the case), it can happen that Windows files are damaged and the PC has to be set up again.
Thanks for the addition.
Of course, I didn't want to question that with the answer.
But that doesn't make any difference whether it happens once or several times. You have a corresponding chance every time. Either the installation is then defective or not. Can happen the first time, or not after the thousandth time.
Btw. However, this is only really realistic if the system is switched off during the installation phase during shutdown or start-up, because otherwise the system should usually not be so damageable.
I'm not saying either ^^ I just thought I would add something. Because you like to add good answers.
But the chance that it will happen keeps getting bigger. If it happens the first time, you have to be really unlucky.
Can still happen.
Windows is now robust enough that it can handle that.
I did it myself every now and then when Windows stalled when shutting down.
If you have files that have not yet been saved open, data could be lost. (Should not be of interest in your case!)
In general, it is recommended to run a CHKDSK on the drives afterwards. Such actions can introduce errors in the MBR & Co. This is neither dramatic nor repairable - but you should do it accordingly, provided that Windows does not do it automatically when you boot. 😉
