A friend of mine started emailing last week that someone had asked for a password change on their Minecraft account. Then he started getting similar emails and at some point he started getting emails that someone from Brazil had tried to log into his email - the password was correct but he needed a code. Of course, he changed the password immediately. When he logged into his email with the new password on his PC, nothing happened.
But when he then logged into the email on his cell phone, the email came back immediately saying that someone from Brazil had tried to register!
He was also beginning to receive emails from a Brazilian person who said he had bought his Minecraft account (he has never put it up for sale!) And now needs help logging in. In addition, this person also mentioned his actual password in the email. This was followed by further emails from the same person - all with the same content, even a cell phone number was sent so that my friend could contact the person.
He and I strongly believe that there's a virus on the cell phone that has caused this Brazilian person to hack into him, because this whole Minecraft story is rather strange.
What do you think? What should he do now?
- he has already changed all passwords of relevant things
Definitely sounds like a virus that sends the passwords to the Brazilian type, there's no more than changing passwords, an antivirus program may be, but don't think that helps
I would reset the whole cellphone and then change the password everywhere and if something like that still happens call the support from the email provider e.g. Google
😂😂😂😂😂
