Minecraft 1.2.5 in 2020?

I would like to play the old versions of Minecraft again. I can also install them, but every time I want to start Minecraft with this version nothing happens for about 10 seconds and then the message "Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem." and I wanted to ask if something can be done there.

I have that too. Today I wanted to start a seed in the old version because supposedly a huge village is to be generated there, but it will run straight away. I don't know what that is.

You have Java version right? You have to click on the information tab in the Minecraft Launcher, create a new one and select 1.2.5.

As I said, I've already done it and installed it, but whenever I want to start the game, the game crashes immediately
