My father wants to get me Minecraft Java for Easter today, but he doesn't want PayPal to be saved. Does the payment method save on Minecraft.net after purchase?
No, Minecraft does not require a direct debit but works with one-off payments. This means that access to the (PayPal) account is not saved.

Perhaps there's a tick to indicate where it is possible to save this, but then you have to tick it manually.

In case of doubt, that would be irrelevant as long as the browser does not save the password when logging into PayPal.
After all, with every purchase you have to log into PayPal again to confirm / authorize the purchase. As long as he has not (unfortunately) saved this registration in the browser, so that the browser fills it out and sends it automatically, that's no problem.
And as far as the payment method in the relevant customer account on "minecraft.net" is concerned: "Paypal" will then be pre-assigned as the payment method for the next purchase, but you can change that there with the next order.
