I just read that you have a certain expiration date until you can transfer your MC java acc to Microsoft. But what happens if not and who we have to do it what happens then with those who use Mac OS or Linux there's apparently no real support for the other operating systems that means that you have to play with Windows when minecraft has to play or with the Cell phones / consoles would be more nice

I think you didn't quite understand what it was about… You just migrate your account, it has nothing to do with your operating system.

You have to add the account to a Microsoft account, that will happen from 2021. If you don't do this, you can no longer log in and no longer play.

If you do it, nothing further changes. The Java Edition will continue to run and be further developed and will continue to run on all platforms as before. Only the login changes.

You can also create a Microsoft account on MacOs…

It has absolutely nothing to do with the operating system.

There's absolutely nothing to change in itself. All platforms are still supported.

If you don't migrate, you won't be able to play anymore

Ha

They only change the account management system, it has nothing to do with the game itself.

This is then a Microsoft account with which you log in, no longer a Mojang account.

The Java version is operating system-neutral, nothing changes for the macOS & GNU / Linux version. I would be surprised if they just stop supporting it for no reason. They already have the Bedrock Edition as their own Windows exclusive version. I'm afraid that at some point the Java version will no longer be developed any further. But since that makes up the majority of the players, that's not a danger at the moment.

The version remains as it is.

Mojang just wants you to create a Microsoft account so that you can no longer be hacked so easily. Not more
