I've tamed several stray cats in a Minecraft village. However, there's a maximum number of cats in a village (can be found in Minecraft wiki). Do the tamed cats still count towards this number of village cats or no more? So can more cats spawn?
As far as I know, they don't pay to the village as soon as they are far enough - then new ones can spawn again.
Only when they're far enough away?
Unfortunately, don't know if taming alone will remove them from the village list. You would have to test that.
I strongly suspect that they will continue to block it. However, cats have no data that would make them related to a village, so you can simply remove them from the village and new ones will definitely spawn.
