How do I create my own blocks / items and co in Minecraft?

I would like to know how I can create my own blocks, items and more in Minecraft? Without Forge.

When I click on the json files, the following message appears:

SyntaxError: JSON.parse: expected property name or '}' at line 1 column 2 of the JSON data

Does anyone know?

There are many tutorials on YouTube, take a look at some, it is probably easier to understand than I'm now putting all of this in text!

I want to create a new block without overwriting another one. And even without Forge.

I want to understand the structure of the game, Forge does it all in the background.

You can add textures instead of replacing them in a texturepack, but i don't know how that works xD

Somehow with a new CustomModelData in any case lol

Otherwise I think it's only possible with mods, so Forge
