Minecraft PE crashes during the game?

Me and my friend are playing Minecraft on the phone and since his phone is not the newest it crashes every 5 min during the game sometimes it even goes longer if he's lucky can anything be done about it?

Your phone is probably overwhelmed with the game.

You can try to downgrade the graph or reinstall the game.

If that does not work, you should look for a new phone.

Bring down the graphics and possibly provide more free memory on the device.
