How do you like the new Minecraft?
I would not let it so completely in the room, it was much new inserted, which I like personally; Animals, water world, terrain etc.
Unfortunately, Mojang (MS) might be even more into world generation / trees / landscape from EpicWorld Generator (Spigot's server plugin), but Minecraft is still a lot of epic.
I do not have animals that are biome-related, why is there in the desert, for example No snakes or camels? In the jungle, monkeys or elephants or tigers would be nice too. There are already some Minecraft modpacks that already offer this for earlier Minecraft versions.
But unfortunately it was to be feared that MS does not mind, in my opinion the sale was a mistake. Version over version but nothing that really evolves the game.

Microsoft has nothing to do with the development of the game.
I do not know how some fools can play 1.8, I would die of boredom.
But you should define what you mean by "new".
I find that Minecraft loses so much of its charm. It's cool that such a simple game is so multi-faceted.
With mods you can also extend the game so extremely.
