Minecraft on Steam soon?

Can't it be that Minecraft and Minecraft dungeons come on Steam, as many other Microsoft games such as Sea of Thieves have come this month? Finds good that Microsoft is finally cooperating. What do you all mean?

Fa

Yes may well be possible

Ga

If Minecraft comes on Steam, it would likely be the Bedrock version.

Fa

Well you can't rule out.

Wouldn't it be that bad because you could buy keys via mmorp and so that would be cheaper but who has no minecraft acc today? I bought it when it cost 10 euro 6-7 years ago

fl

I think it may be net

Nu

For the Windows 10 Edition (Minecraft Bedrock) you don't even need a Minecraft (Mojang) account, a Microsoft account is enough, what you actually have if you want to use Windows 10 (for example the store or Xbox services that you need for Minecraft Windows 10 Edition based on Minecraft Bedrock Edition, only work with a Microsoft account). Among other things, it would make sense that Minecraft can still come to Steam, since Microsoft itself no longer maintains the store very much (example: Skype UWP, which was a special store version, was also replaced on the classic Skype by the Skype website. Result: Skype from store = Skype from website).

It can of course also be good if you can also set other apps in Steam besides games, that Microsoft will eventually partner with Steam and discontinue all apps in Steam, install Steam in Windows 10 as standard and remove the store. At least I wouldn't find it bad.

Nu

In my opinion the Bedrock version is the better one anyway

Ga

Unfortunately I don't agree with you at all…

Fa

Yes, I know that the Minecraft Windows 10 version is different and you have to buy it via Microsoft, but you have to pay for it again, the old version still works or not the old version but the old mojang accounts

Nu

I don't have the Java Edition and the Bedrock Edition is only called Minecraft and the other Minecraft Java Edition

Nu

You don't have to either, but in my opinion (and also from a Minecraft expert YouTuber the opinion) is that Bedrock will one day become the normal version, since the Bedrock Edition is only called Minecraft and the other Minecraft Java Edition

Ga

Yes, you are right, but as a hardcore minecraft player you are better off with the Java version. Even if you gamble with your friends (better servers). I give the Bedrock version a big plus because there's crossplay.

Nu

That's why I believe that in the future there will only be Bedrock. Somehow, when you are in the Minecraft Discord, you notice that a lot more time is invested in Bedrock than in the Java Edition.
