I finally received my Xbox Series X yesterday and of course I want all the new features such as RTX testing and Minecraft then came to my mind.
In the settings under "Graphics" between "Scaling modification for GUI" and "Visibility" you can find the settings "Upscaling" and "Raytracing" but these two settings are gray for me and I can't switch them on. My television has all the functions like 4K, upscaling and even has HDR10.
And I need help on how to use these two settings, especially ray tracing, or why it doesn't work.

It's not called RTX!
RTX stands for Nvidia's ray tracing technology.
The Xbox Series X uses DXR.
DXR is an abbreviation for DirextX Raytracing, this in turn is a technology developed by Microsoft and AMD, which are similar to Nvidia's ray tracing, but they are different pair of shoes

As far as I know, ray tracing can currently only be used in special ray tracing worlds.

The ray tracing worlds are available in the Marketplace.
Ray tracing is not yet freely usable in survival worlds. However, this should be activated in the near future.

There is of assumption here. Ray tracing for Minecraft on Xbox isn't even confirmed yet, and may never come. Not a priority for the developers, given that Series X is sparsely available. The menue items you see greyed out are just artefacts of RTX on Win 10.
