Some time ago I downloaded a resource pack for minecraft and, because I was lost and had no idea what I was doing, I pressed open with badlion client. It was a .rar file and now I want to download another .rar file, but this will also be opened with badlion client if it is installed what can I do so that it is "normal" again
Download 7-zip and set the app to unpack all archives by default.
Since it is a * .rar file, would I try RAR or WinRAR?! O_O
7-zip download. After installing you right click on the .rar and unzip it.
Minecraft's resource packs are always in this format
They have to stay in this format, i.e. The files do not have to be unzipped or opened.
You download it and then copy it to Minecraft's resource pack folder.
The game unpacks the file by itself and this is the only way you can use the resource packs
It has to be like that in order to function.
