Alternative to the Minecraft Chopper Mod?

Jo in a nutshell: Is there still another alternative to the Chopper mod for the Minecraft version 1.11?

One that maybe works like the old Timber Mod, which makes the Chopper Mod the construction of wooden structures, etc. Extremely tedious and that the leaves are mined with (which in dense forests can be really annoying if you just want to have a tree away) is also rather subobtimal.
