I wanted to rent a MC server with Nitrado with a friend. The server should contain the FTB Ultimate Reloaded Modpack and be only for us both. We also want to add 2 mods (Pams Harvestcraft and Storage Drawers). My question:
How much RAM does the server need to run smoothly and stably? At Nitrado you can choose 4 different levels, Standard, Advanced, …
My second question would be how can I add the two mods to Nitrado if we decide to rent it.
1 GB of RAM is sufficient, for 2 players.
With Vanilla, but not with such a long list of mods.
With 1gb the server will not even start.
3-4gb Ram should be for the pack.
Recommended are 2.5gb but that will not last long.
You can copy mods with Nitrado directly over the interface into the mods folder. Or via FTP.
Mods need a lot of RAM, with such a list possibly even more than 2GB without players. For exact values but you would have to test it.
With Nitrado you only waste your money, for the 3GB option you pay already 9 euro a month, with reasonable providers like netcup there are for 2 euro less already 8GB of RAM. If it does not eat too many resources, I can host you the server completely free of charge.
I know what I'm talking about!
Doubtful, the pack needs 2.5gb just to start.
