Can you control Redstone with command blocks?

Which of you Minecraft gamers can help me here?

The reverse process is easy, control command blocks with Redstone. However, this case is not meant.

No, it's about whether it is possible to use redstone circuits, at the ends of which e.g. Redstone lamps hang, with commands or command blocks on and off. Specifically, what you normally do with levers or buttons via command.

Specifically for me this means that I have built 1 football stadium and want to switch all scoreboards at the same time instead of 1x to have to run the whole field. The same applies to the lighting.

I also have 1 motorway with 1 traffic control system on it and I don't want to have to change the speed limits individually on each bridge, but want to be able to switch all of them collectively.

Does anyone know if you can control Redstone with commands?

An

Direct control does not work for redstone blocks, but you can change them to other blocks using the command block and setblock command or move them with a piston and thus replace them with polished marble, for example.

Jo

Sounds good. Maybe you can find something about it on YT.

an

Simply place a redstone block on the coordinate using the set block.

Then you need several command blocks to start several places at once.

Do you want to do it via command block or via command?
There's a little difference, because the chat has fewer characters.

If you want a command block you have to explain to me why, because to execute the command you have to press a button or switch, so why not connect the button to the redstone? I don't quite understand.

Jo

With the command blocks you can switch several in a row. Unfortunately, Redstone can't be transmitted wirelessly, the space for Redston lines is sometimes more than scarce and commands can be used to control a lot.

Mi

Ok, and mods are out of the question?

Jo

I'm currently experimenting with that. If that really works as you say, I would need a few redstone lines less.

Jo

I'm one of those cripples who have the Bedrock edition (Win 10). Do you know if you can transfer Bedrock worlds to the Java edition?

I wouldn't be afraid to buy the Java Edition, but I don't want to have to build everything from scratch.

Mi

No idea. I would also have to google. With the Bedrock edition I unfortunately know nothing. Don't know if everything works the same there.

Jo

Yes I did see it. I would need 1 command block for each lamp on the scoreboard. However, these could be outside the stadium, since I can "activate" 1 command block remotely by placing 1 red tone block with the command. It worked just fine with the first tests!

an

If the lamps are right next to each other you can use the fill command! It fills the area from one corner to another corner.

fill x y z (one corner) x y z (the other corner) block

You have to look in F3 at "Looking at", from which block to which block you have to fill Redstone blocks.

PS: Before that, make a backup of the world. If you accidentally fill your building (wrong coordinates entered), then it is gone. Can happen to beginners.

Jo

That's right. I don't know if I need it.

I can easily store the blocks in the technology basement or elsewhere outside. A command block with a button attached (Shift + right click) as a remote control to place a redstone block in front of a command block outside the building. The then triggers further command blocks, which then each control 1 lamp.

In other words, the command leads out of the stadium and then back into the scoreboard. With Commands, wireless redstone is possible.

An

Command is setblock and you should use replace instead of destroy, the command block then passes on the redstone signal and you can also use the comparator to test whether the command was successful.
