How do I make a texturepack for minecraft? I have no idea about texurepacks and I haven't gotten any smarter with YouTube. Can anyone recommend a good tutorial?

You open the individual textures with an image editing program, so you can edit them according to your wishes.
First you should download 2 things.

https://www.getpaint.net/
Then you unpack the pack and you can edit each texture individually with Paint.net. After doing that, drag the folder into your Resource Packs folder.
Of course you will get smarter on YouTube. Search there to create a texture pack and go to Tribble's video. This will definitely help you.
