How do I activate Elytren in Minecraft Pocket Edition?

Found Elytren for the first time (😃😃), but don't know how to use it (😒😒). I know you have to put it on.

You have to jump from a higher platform and then hold down the jump button.

Jump off the platform and jump twice to slide.

If you want to fly you have to take fireworks and place them in the air while gliding.
