The Nether update for Minecraft is coming and with it the new Netherite armor. If you then store the diamond armor on Netherite, the enchantment will either leave the armor or stay there. Don't have Minecraft Java.

The enchants stay when you upgrade them from dia to netherrite.

So you can have a lot of enchants and they will remain.
