I somehow feel like Minecraft Skywars, but I'm ultimately bad. Skywars is worth it with the starter pack, it's just so difficult with it. GermanletsPlay (Youtuber) is actually ultra bad, but uses a cool KIT. You have access to all kits as a Youtuber or VIP…
Would save on a kit in your place… I personally had a lot of fun even with the cheapest kit
So I'm assuming you are playing on Gomme… If you have been playing on the server for a little longer then you have surely accumulated a few coins… As soon as you have 80k coins you should buy the tank kit (slide chest plate) with that you can play on almost all maps because you have very strong armor… The biggest problem is armor… A sword blocks and food are in almost all boxes.
What is good about the starter kit is the pickaxe. Since you can mine diamonds directly with it and if you find a few diamonds in a box (not necessary on all maps…) you can directly craft a diamond breastplate.
Conclusion: yes it is definitely worth it if you play the right maps… Maps such as Fioas with 7 or 8 diamonds are very good or maps with 3 instead of 2 boxes because there you have a higher chance of good armor parts…
P.S.: Of course, it is also important that you have various PvP and / or construction skills (I don't mean that you should be able to build beautifully, but that you can quickly come up against opponents, construction techniques such as FastBridge, Breezly, Moonwalk etc.)

Hundreds of thousands of hours you certainly don't have to… Gambling is learnig by doing… The more you play, the better you get and you get coins in every round, which means you can get to the tank kit faster… Ps rate please, my answer gave me trouble… 😢
But I don't really feel like it xD You can do a hundred other things in Minecraft, for example. Jump league or trade with mods…
