I need help.
I currently have a Minecraft server running at home on a Raspberry Pi. Ports 25565 enabled for TCP and UDP. I have acquired a DNS via No-IP so that you don't have to connect with the "number IP". Problem: You can do a DNS lookup and find out who is hosting the server - me in that case - and see everything: IP address, provider, etc.
Question: I would like to hide my IP. How do I have to make it so that my IP can no longer be found out? I guess that's not straightforward. But on the subject of VPN: Is that enough if I let my Raspberry Pi connect via a VPN? Does it even work? Or does my router have to run over a VPN connection? If router: How do I do this for / via the FRITZ! Box?

Of course you can find out the IP address, because nothing works on the Internet without an IP address. IP stands for Internet Protocol, and that is essential for the Internet. The provider is your provider. Yes and? Where is the problem?

The Raspi or the router must set up a VPN tunnel to a VPN service. The Raspi can then be seen on the Internet with the IP address of the VPN service. The connection must then be made via this IP address. I dare to doubt that it will work. That would mean that every customer of the VPN service gets an individual IP address. Assigning a DynDNS name to the IP address of the VPN provider is also very adventurous in my opinion.
