Static IP (Internet) for Homeserver assigned?

Hi together and a question to the network professionals among you:

I got a small "server" for home, so a normal Windows 10 PC, on which I'm currently running the Terraria server software.

I would like to run other small games servers such as Minecraft.

Port in the router released and as far as good. I can connect and if I give the external IP to my buddies, they can connect too.

But now I have the problem that my provider makes a small 24-hour disconnect in the night at 2 and assigns my router so a new IP. Unfortunately, I can't change that with this provider, I think that's no longer possible, right?

Now my question, how can I fix this problem? Can I assign a static IP for the external connections to this one computer by any method? Or a kind of artificial IP which then always refers to this calculator, no matter which real IP the computer has?

Thank you for the answers.

And please do not answer like "Get Linux," or "Your server is junk," or the raspberry is better anyway. I do not want to reinfuch myself into another operating system. Had everything set up in less than 2 hours and everything works perfectly well except for this problem.

Unfortunately, I can't change that with this provider, I think that's no longer possible, right?

But, with many Providern it goes… Costs only extra.

You need to rent a static IP from your internet provider for an extra charge

I recommend to use a DynDNS server

Whether you use Linux or Windows does not matter.

Take a look at https://www.noip.com/. There you can get you a domain that always points to your router. All you have to do is load your software onto the server, which will always change the IP your domain points to.

I also read that earlier. If I log in via IP in Terraria, for example, can I enter this address supplied by DynDNS and will I be connected to my game server?

Ka

See it at my provider. However, probably only for business customers and against hefty surcharge.

Ka

Great idea, I just fuchse myself in these providers, what do you think of DynDNS?

Sk

I have never used. But probably runs out the same.

Ga

Exactly, maybe you can log in instead of logging in via IP and log in using domain name. Then you save the reading and re-typing the dynamic IP
