I plan to create a Minecraft server (I would host one on the official Craftbukkit site, I think the prices are fair). Now the question is: Does anyone have any tips on how I can finance this well? I was planning on paying my friend, who also participates, a little, I probably do that too. Is it legal to apply for donations online? Btw am not of legal age (14 years old). Paying is not a problem. My parents told me they would pay it monthly if I gave them the money. Many servers (such as Gommehd.net) sell ranks, e.g. B. Premium rank. Can you do that as a minor? If not, someone has an idea how to get the money back in (shouldn't be much either, but doesn't want to make so much loss).
If you start building a server with the idea of making money, it won't work. Operating and building Minecraft servers is an expensive hobby. In the 4 years I have already invested 500 euro - 1000 euro in it and possibly got 50 euro back.
You should first be less concerned with how you finance your server and how you can get players excited about playing on your server.
I don't want that at all. I mean I only get a little bit of the money back. My main goal is that a lot of people have fun on the server😊
I would advise you: only do what you can afford yourself. If you rely on the help of others, that's not a good foundation.
