I've already hosted several Minecraft servers on my PC, but I would actually like to try running one of them on my Qnap NAS because it will always be running. However, I'm not very familiar with Qnap and have no idea how to run a 1.7.10 Forge server. Can someone help me?
First of all sorry for the answer maybe look around in the community forums of Qnap I find the question mega cool
I did that for the last hour, but thanks for the tip. The only post on the forum that I found was from 2011 and included tools that no longer exist.
Nothing was on youtube either?
Yes, but as life is, my NAS is still too old to use so-called containers and, according to YouTube, they are unfortunately the only way to a running server.
So, I stuck it again and still got a little bit further. Using a tool called Putty, I was able to connect to the NAS and go to the location where I temporarily stored the server files. Calling the server file actually made the console appear and after some time it was said that the world was now loaded. The only problem I have now is that I can't access the server in the game with the IP Localhost, even though the NAS is in the same network as the PC.
