Today I would like to hear your opinion on a certain topic. It is true that about 4 years ago (i.e. At the age of 11) I joined a freebuild Minecraft server (with a playerbase of about 100 people a day) and played a lot there. It was only 3 or 4 months back then, but I was building this server almost every day with my friend.
Then my parents decided to ban Minecraft for about 2 years. So at the end of 2018 I found the server again, of course everything I had built had already been removed due to inactivity, but my inventory was still there. I then played Minecraft intensively until around February 2019.
I've built, farmed, dug, everything you can imagine. This Minecraft server was my main job at the time.
Well, from February it got less and less. Daily tasks became monthly. I only finished a few things and I only started some things that have yet to be "done".
I'm definitely online every 1 1/2 months so that my property and all the memories don't go wrong, but actually every 3 weeks to check it out.
As you can already imagine, I thought about quitting with this Minecraft server, because my intensive Minecraft time is over and it will probably not really come back because I will also start studying in about 3 years.
I'm just not building or farming anymore, but only come online because I care about the nice community. And I don't want to lose my property because there are so many wonderful memories associated with it.
So I want to quince, but I can't make a 100% decision because, as I said, I care a lot about the community. If I quit, I doubt that I can still keep in touch when interest in Minecraft is generally gone.
What would you do?
PS: I wouldn't generally uninstall Minecraft or something, just call it quince because I would then give up my entire game on this server.
At your age, I have gambled on everything for ages, including minecraft. In the end you realize that it is just a pastime and that there are much more important things. The best thing is to try to get rid of minecraft completely (you can play something else that you can only gamble for half an hour or so).
I would stop, but program a bot and let it play whenever you are at the computer.
The decision should definitely be yours and not us…
Since it is an emotional decision for you (memories), it should not be up to us twice.
At that time I did it in such a way that I wrote to the support whether they could provide me with a schematic of my built objects so that I can integrate them into a single player world.
It also worked…
Of course I know that you can't decide anything for me. Still, I would like to know what decision you would make if you had to make one in my place.
If you can already see that there's hardly any time left, I would put it on hold and devote myself to the things that need more time…
So I would actually do it like you do.
I generally care a lot about memories, so I can understand that well.
Of course, it could be difficult during your studies, but it can work every 3 weeks.
Asterisk would be a dream!
