I got the Minecraft java edition fresh today and wanted to try playing on a server. So when I wanted to join one I got this error message: failed to login the authentication servers are currently down for maintenance. Incidentally, this error message occurs on all servers. I've checked and the servers all seem to be online. I waited a bit but after an hour nothing changed. I also tried to log out and log in again. Nothing. I have to admit that I had a cracked version before because I had no money. But in the end I decided to get the real version. (Of course I deleted the cracked one). And now I don't know what else to do, so I ask you guys. I would be very happy to receive suggestions.

There can be different reasons.
I recommend the following steps. Check if Java is up to date on your PC. Then check whether Java is allowed without restriction in your firewall. Next, uninstall Minecraft delete all data from the following folder WINDOWS KEY + R -> Then "% appdata%" and delete the .minecraft folder. Restart the PC and reinstall Minecraft. If it still doesn't work, please write to me via PM.

The error message says yes that Minecraft can't reach the login server to validate that you have a normal account. I guess very strongly that the cracked Minecraft must cause this behavior so that you can play cracked.

So you have to see how you not only delete the cracked Minecraft, but also undo what it did so that you no longer have a connection to the Minecraft servers.
