You could also use pexTab instead and with PermissionsEx you only have to set the groups with rights, prefix and suffix and it will be displayed in the tablist. And do not worry, this pugin will not override your current tablist, just add the prefixes. Eg: [Owner] Max

The groups of the others must of course be created. So / pex group {group name} create. - Otherwise that will not work anyway, no matter what you try. And that works with the color codes. To PermissonsEx I would recommend to take ChatEx, which allows the colored writing in the chat.
