I'm looking for good, trustworthy texture packages for my latop and instructions, since I do not get it baked myself. Do I have to install something in advance? I have the Minecraft 1.12.0 version and Windows 10.

Hm. From my experience there are not really trustworthy sites to download. But as long as you do not run any installer or EXE files, you should be on the safe side.

Texture packs or today also called resource packs are mostly .zip files that you just need to move to a specific folder. To find the right folder, go to the settings of Minecraft and under Texturepacks / Recruitpacks you will find below the option to open the folder. After moving the .zip file to it, it should appear in the same games menu (if not, just reload the menu)

If you still need help, you may like to answer here.

Thanks, but I do not have the option to open a folder under Global Resource Packs or under Storage.

Which Minecraft do you play?

There are different versions. The most played is the Java version. But is it possible that you have the Windows 10 Edition?

Send a screenshot, or a picture from the internet, what your Minecraft menu looks like.

Jo

I'm too stupid to send one, but yes, I have the windowsversion. Is that bad and if so, how do you switch to Java?

Da

Well, the versions have nothing to do with each other. That's why you have to buy the Java Edition again.

(If you had bought the Java version, the Windows 10 Edition would have been there, but the other way around is not)

However, you can still use texture packs, it's just a bit more complex and it would be better if you watch a tutorial on Youtube, because I can't explain it that way either.
