Minecraft texture packs + ram upgrade?

In advance a few details regarding my computer:

8 GB Ram
1 GB integrated graphics card RAM
3.4 GHz
64bit system

Let's assume my Minecraft starts normally without having changed anything and I want to play on 1.15.x now.

I want to apply the Comic Texture Pack from Spax Pure BD Craft. However, I would like to use those with a higher pixel rate (if possible 256x).

What do I have to enter in my version as JVM arguments to get as much out of it as possible and to get the texture pack up and running?

Do I need extra software to help my PC a little to handle the RAM demands?

Whenever I currently want to insert a texture pack from Spax that is larger than 64x64, "Reloading of resources failed" or something comes up in the top right and the default styles are selected.

Please help for somehow to make Minecraft look better.

Sincerely yours,

RoyBlunk

PS. If I create a version with 1.8.9 Labymod, my PC can create 128x128 Spax, why not and in the later versions?!

Could be because of 1GB graphics RAM aka VRAM. But is only a guess.

Any idea what kind of graphics card I could attach to make it run better? Would not like to rebuild the PC from scratch, because actually all parts would have to be changed. I can recommend a 1050 TI with 4GB VRAM if you don't want to spend that much. The thing you sent in is rubbish. LG

Yes, the computer is really old. Don't want to top it up, but optimize it if possible. So the 1050 TI also fits in there?
