Why is Minecraft still coming out with no smart texture packs?

As if someone were playing in this pixelated, unsightly standard version. Maybe 2 out of 100 do that.

If you are not mistaken. That play more than enough. That's the point of the game, that everything is made of blocks and pixelated.

Minecraft has always been a simple game without complex graphics, and that's how it should stay.

And I hardly know any people who use a texture pack, but it is probably because they only play modpacks

There are enough good texture packs for Minecraft, only fewer and fewer people are being produced because not so many people are playing Minecraft.

Why should Mojang hire a team of developers to make extra textures? The Minecraft community has been doing this for a long time since Minecraft came out.

Minecraft is a game for the masses.
High-resolution textures, shaders, etc. Need more processing power - players may not be able to play because many play on old / weak systems.

Minecraft also relies on its established style, which has already been embellished several times, although not as extreme as various modpacks / shaders create, but at least embellished.

Another reason might be that there are already many texture packs / shaders available for free use and Microsoft would no longer have a source of income as a result - who would buy a texture pack if it were available for free (well, Windows 10 version is a different matter…).

I also find it better that way.
So everyone is free to choose which texture pack, which shader, etc. Someone uses, if this person wants to use which.

And by the way: what should Minecraft look like?
What style exactly should Microsoft pursue?
There's a huge range of texture packs to choose from, and they all look at least a little different.
Quite a few people combine several packs because they don't like certain blocks in one.

It is impossible to meet the taste of every individual.

Exactly what style should Microsoft pursue?

I was thinking of something that looks as realistic as possible. There are e.g. To this day no windows with frames, unfortunately only glass panes without window frames. That already limits you when you try to recreate something as detailed as possible.
