I bought Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Windows Shop and keep hearing that the Java Edition is better. I wanted to ask if I have to buy the Java Edition again from the Official Minecraft Store Store, or can I download the other version for free? (And where to download it for free)
You have to buy them separately, if you had bought the Java edition some time ago, you would have gotten the Windows 10 edition for free.
No, are two separate versions. The Windows Edition is more for crossplay.
The Java version allows you to really do EVERYTHING and you have no additional costs afterwards…
Would invest the 20 euro again, is definitely worth it.

Until half a year ago (or something?) You got the windows 10 edition for free if you own the java edition.
But in principle you have to buy them individually.
