What's the best minecraft edition?
Vanilla is not an edition - it is the term for an unmodified game.
There are actually only 2 versions. Java and C ++ (Bedrock). Pocket Edition is also C ++

Both have their advantages and disadvantages, whereby the main argument for Java is the great free modding and the plugins, whereby this is sometimes also possible with Bedrock but actually often only with money. However, Bedrock has crossplay which is a big + for Bedrock
Bedrock can also use plugins on some servers, so does it support plugins in any way? And to be honest, I never noticed the jumping animation. That may be with Spectator, I haven't dealt much with it. But I find the construction system more pleasant in Bedrock, for example. And I don't know much about NBT.
But yes, you can say both have their advantages and disadvantages and depending on the application, different versions are suitable
