Just don't push up then it will help you…
With a tool like Sharpkeys you can assign a more "harmless" function to your escape key. But do not forget to give another key or key combination the function Escaspe, because many programs need it.
Congratulations: You found the original function of the "Esc" ape key. 😉

maybe the security note for "Layman in front of the computer":
It can get stupid if none of the keys on a keyboard have the ESCape function.
You should then use Sharpkeys to set another key.
It is more advisable to learn to press the button when you need it and otherwise not to press it.
This is especially helpful when you are sitting on other computers (friends, work) where you do not have the tool running.
