Minecraft Mo Creatures Mod animals do not spawn?

I have downloaded the Mo Creatures Mod version 1.12.2 and play it on a Unflachen world. However, I rarely see animals. Can someone help me there?

This can certainly be set in the configuration options.

So under mod options select the mod and then increase the Spawnrate or generally try something
