Minecraft world player data?

Hey me and my brother have a hardcore world, but my brother has 2 files with different names in the data folder of the world. Whenever I open the world over lan, Minecraft takes 1 of the two files and thus has 2 saved games that means different inventory and positions and something sooo annoying we have already deleted 1 but it has been created again. Does anyone know how to fix that? I already looked on the internet but found nothing

The 6b9879… And the cbd4f… Me from my brother the other one is mine, what do I have to do?

Fa

So that's very strange. But here's a suggestion that might help.

Copy the correct save data of your brother and yours. In addition, you have to copy the world folder "world" / save it somewhere on the desktop. Then you create a new world and replace the saved games and the world with the ones you copied. You may both need to have joined the world before.

I don't know if it will work that easy, so make sure the data is not lost.

As I said, something like that is very strange and I've never heard of it.

If this doesn't work, you may have to change the scores directly, but I'm not familiar with that either.

Ma

Hey so should I copy the world somewhere, e.g. Pack it onto the desktop, then make a new world and then drag the data from the old world onto it, right?

Ma

Oh well, what could it be because we drew the map once on a server and after we played a bit, opened the world from the server again in single player and continued playing via lan

Fa

Exactly, that's what I mean. Replace the world of the lan world with the new world and of course also the scores. And that with the server shouldn't be a problem. I've done this a lot before.

Ma

Ok i have done everything now i will play with my brother and see if it works

Fa

OK. You are welcome to give us a feedback on whether it worked.

Ma

We still have the same bug so it is very, very likely not because of the world I thought that it might be because of my brother's MC kp I now wanted to do it on a server and test it there

Fa

Ok, do that.
