Minecraft, are there different models?

My daughter has the amazon minecraft. She thinks she can't do so many things! She wants a spiral staircase, a chair, a four-poster bed, etc. She always sees that in the you tube videos, but she can't do that. Are there different versions of where this works? Or do you have to buy something?

And another question, is it only possible to play on a tablet? When I order the free games from amazon, I send them to both children's tablets. Minecraft is the first paid game and only works on 1 tablet. I can download on the other, you can enter the world, but not move, do nothing. The other child can visit the immobile in his world, see him, spank him etc. But he can't do anything himself.
