Minecraft client out of date?

I would love to play minecraft with my best friend. On servers like The Hive and so we can play together (I play on windows10 and she on her switch), but when she tries to join my world it says "server out of date" and when I want to join your world it says "client out of date". Then I looked on google and it said I should go to minecraft in the microsoft store and score the three. However, I do not know what is meant by that; -; I need urgent help.

This is a bug that happens sometimes. Wait for an update, maybe it'll fix that.
