How do I use the Minecraft Marketplace?

First of all: I have the full version of Minecraft (Java, on the computer) with a Mojang account. I haven't made any other purchases for Minecraft.

I would like to get something from the Minecraft Marketplace, but I don't know how to do it. I've only tried it with free packs so far because I don't have any Minecoins. Can someone help me?

There's no marketplace on java or if so, buying is wasted because you can get everything for free

You are not playing the Java Edition, otherwise you would not be able to access the Marketplace. At the top right you can buy Minecoins.

OK thanks. Unfortunately, I don't know my way around, so I don't know which versions are available.

That's the thing, I can't access the Marketplace😅. I didn't know that the Marketplace for Java didn't exist.

But you can download mods, maps and texture packs for the Java Edition for free (on planetminecraft, curseforge or in the Minecraft forum, all other sites supposedly offer mods for versions for which these mods are not available). They are at least as good as the ones in the Bedrock Edition.
