PC keeps crashing?

My older computer keeps crashing all the time. Only when I do something like start Minecraft, surf the Internet. I also observed the utilization of CPU and RAM and it was very rarely over 70%.

System:

Athlon II X2 630

4 GB DDR3

Windows 10 32-bit

Problem:

Most of the time the picture just stays frozen and he doesn't do anything anymore. Sometimes the blue screen comes with the error code: IRQL not less or equal

Troubleshooting:

Resetting the PC did not help
Installing all drivers properly did not help
CPU doesn't get too hot
Components are not really being used to full capacity
I have a 32-bit Windows and a 64x based processor. Problem?

The funny thing is that the computer worked fine yesterday after resetting it when installing the driver and also afterwards. A few more minutes today, but then when I only installed Minecraft, it started again.

Set energy setting to power? Or the graphics driver?

Fe

I should increase the performance / utilization of the graphics card. Or what? And why?

Had a similar problem. For me it was due to a defective memory. However, it can have several causes.

Possible causes:

The system file is damaged. System file corruption can be caused by virus attack or malware infection from Windows system file or program file related to Windows operating system.
The driver is not compatible. After installing the new hardware, the driver will conflict with the previous driver, resulting in BSOD (BlueScreen of Death).
The CPU has overheated. When the CPU exceeds a certain temperature, the computer will shut down immediately via BSOD to avoid damage to the CPU.
Windows updates or downgrades to install Windows. Windows updates or downgraded installations can cause system files to be improperly replaced and cause conflicts between different versions of Windows.
There's a problem with the hardware. E.g. Motherboard or RAM is damaged.
Corrupted registry. Recent installation or uninstallation of the software could corrupt the registry.
The software is not installed correctly.

Did the PC partially work despite the defective RAM?

Fl

I had a total of 16gb Ram (2 × 8gb strips). Since I had to remove one, I now have "only" 8GB RAM. But everything runs perfectly ^^

Fe

Yes, but how both were inside. Did it still work?

al

If you can put your graphics on performance-try. The same applies to the energy setting. And Minecraft? When the RAM is full, it also falls asleep. In principle, you have recognized that after installing Minecraft, it starts again. Could that be the problem?

Fl

However, things will not go well without ram.

If you have two ram bars in your PC then try taking out a ram. If the error persists, test the other bolt.

However, if you only have one working memory, it will of course be difficult to test it out. At least 4GB Ram should definitely be there. At least 8GB is recommended.

When I had both in there my PC kept freezing and had blue screens. Every now and then the part ran without problems until it started again. Then I took one out and the PC worked again.

Common problem with older PCs with this error: Broken mainboard.

By the way, your problem solution is unfocused actionism.
Problem solving is started in the event display with an error analysis (search for event IDs and google it!)
But if it's fun… 🤷♂️
