We have 2 types of Wi-Fi repeaters at home. Both are available twice and are plugged into two different sockets. The first is from Devolo (1200 Mbits) and the second from a different brand (400 Mbits). My sister has the 1200Mbits repeater.
However, she only watches Netflix from time to time and has Skype meetings. However, I have a gaming PC and play online games like Call of Duty, Fortnite, Minecraft…
I have to somehow convince my parents to give me the 1200 Mbits repeater instead of the 400 Mbits repeater.
Does anyone have convincing arguments why a gaming PC needs a good Wi-Fi connection? I've already tried a few arguments, but didn't make it.
Is your internet connection fast enough that 400mbits / s bottlenecks?
Who plays on WLAN… Simply use a LAN cable is cheaper and better.
The router is too far away and I would have to go through the ceiling and wall
Would do it anyway, it's worth the effort. Don't you have any ducts in the walls? Firstly, a LAN cable is cheaper, faster and consistently stable, instead of a repeater quark.
