Windows 10 Minecraft return?

My brother bought Minecraft today, but not the Java, but the Windows 10 Edition. I only read answers from 2018 or something and wanted to ask again whether it works now?

You open your account at Microsoft or log in.
Via the menu you go to the payment methods and invoices as well as your order history.
There you just select the app or the game and request a refund.
