What settings should I use to stream?

Hi! I will soon buy the 2000 euro Gaming Pc from hardwaredealz. Included are: RTX 2080 Ti, i7-9700k. I plan to stream Battlefield 5, Rainbow Six Siege and Minecraft. I play with a Wqhd 144hz monitor. My streaming bit rate will be around 5500. How high should I set the recording bit rate in OBS and what are your video settings? I would be very happy about your help!

I think 9700K at the price really bad. For streaming, you should have a 9900k or 3900X in it. With the price you can expect that. Apart from the 2080ti times. Unless you want to stream on nvenc. That said, the quality compared to h264 is really bad

Qu

This is nonsense. The RTX cards in particular are very well suited for streaming if you want to stream via NVEC (new). Correctly set, there's little difference.

Qu

It depends on what you want to stream and what you value
Do you want to encode via NVEC or x264?
The recording bit rate depends on how fast your hard drive is. I eg Set a bit rate of 75,000. Sometimes 90,000. It is also important that the game and location are on separate hard drives
Since you may not be a Twitch partner, max. 6000 possible. With 5500 you are already doing well.

Bad at the price?

In a 2000 euro PC there's a 1200 euro GPU…

There's not that much money left, and the 9700k is a monster for gaming

How can you tell the speed of the hard drive and are you sure that it must not be on the same hard drive? I also stream with NVEC

av

I thought it was better to record through the graphics card because it usually performs better. Can you show me a source etc. Where it is? I watched some videos where it was mostly said that NVEC is better.

Qu

You can change the speed, for example. Test with the "CrystalDiskMark" program.

Of course it can be allowed, but it doesn't make sense because frame drops can occur in the game or during the recording or other image errors. That's why they say game and recording should be separated.

Own experience. With a good CPU and enough cores, I definitely get the better results. Less image fragmentation and co.
