Is there such a thing as a gaming burn out?

So I like video games, but whenever I start again, for example in games like Minecraft or Terraria, I get bored after a short time and I stop playing and that repeats itself all the time.

I currently have it myself. I just don't enjoy computer games anymore. So I think it's a kind of "burn out". Is it mainly due to Corona etc…

At some point, playing is simply no longer fun, and the games you have can't be played 24/7 … And the market is currently not that good either.

I don't know if you can call that burnout, but I think there's such a thing. But I wouldn't count boring among them (no wonder with the current games). I would rather describe a "gaming burnout" in such a way that one can't meet one's own performance requirements. And so the gaming itself destroys (less lust / possibly aggression / etc)

Nowadays you can somehow push everything in the direction of "Burn Out", but it is just the case that only a fraction of the many "Burn Outs" are really justified.

Well, that's not the topic now, but it is certainly the wrong term for this…

What you are describing is ultimately nothing more than that you are saturated with video games at the moment and you have difficulty starting a new one. This is a "phase" that everyone who likes to play video games has, but the whole thing only becomes problematic if you don't know what to do with your time.

You can remedy this with another activity, whichever one suits you. Is it meeting friends in the fresh air (yes, that is also possible - albeit to a limited extent - during Corona), going for a walk, reading a book, or - as already mentioned - whatever suits you.

The fact is, there's also something other than video games and that is what you need now.
